Vehicle Description
1978 Ford Bronco Ranger XLT 4x4 models are a favorite with
enthusiasts. 1978 marked the first year of the second-generation of
the Ford Bronco, which was produced for 1978 and 1979 before the
body style was changed for the third generation Bronco introduced
for the 1980 model year. The Bronco was no longer built on a unique
chassis, but rather shared its architecture with the F-Series line
of pickup trucks. As such, it shared many of the same styling cues,
with a removable hard roof covering the bed and an extra set of
seats.
Two-year only body style
351 cubic inch V-8 engine
4-barrel carburetor
Automatic transmission
4-wheel drive
Mild lift kit installed
Radial M/T Mud Claw tires
Cyclone style aluminum rims
Power steering
Power brakes with front discs
Riding on a period-correct set of cyclone-style aluminum rims
wrapped in 33X12.50 R15 Radial M/T Mud Claw tires gives this Ford
an aggressive look without sacrificing drivability. The 351 cubic
inch V-8 and automatic transmission operate smoothly, making it a
pleasure to drive. A set of high-quality Sanderson exhaust headers
exit through new dual Flow FX Flowmaster mufflers making the engine
sound great as well.
The interior is in excellent condition with new seat upholstery,
console, dash pad, door panels and carpet kit installed. This truck
also has a factory tilt steering column and a nice-sounding
retro-style stereo. The body is straight and has a recent repaint
that looks good for a Bronco that begs to be driven, on or off
road, with character and style.
Interest in these two-year only body design Broncos is growing.
