Gateway Classic Cars of Las Vegas is pleased to present this 1963
Chevrolet Corvair Monza convertible. The Corvair remains the only
American designed mass produced passenger car with a rear-mounted
air-cooled engine with over 1.8 million produced between 1960 and
1963. This example is a first generation example was produced
1960-1964. It carries the 2375 cc 2.4 L Flat six known as the
Chevrolet Turbo Air 6 carrying a hotter cam-shaft, a revised dual
spring cylinder heads and new 2" exhaust. Owner has installed dual
carbs and horsepower is above the stock engine. This was mated to a
synchronized 4 speed manual transmission. Self-adjusting brakes
were added in 1963 as well. This Monza is finished in Silver Blue
paint and is complimented with a black interior.
