Vehicle Description
This documented 1967 Chevrolet Corvette 427/400hp coupe was
inspected by Corvette expert Al Grenning in January 2024. The
engine was completely rebuilt and retains the factory-installed
rotating assembly. The engine harness was changed for safety and
the original one will come with the car. The engine is coupled to
the original rebuilt matching-numbers M21 4-speed manual
transmission and has the original 4.11 posi-traction rear end. The
engine compartment is highly detailed and retains its correct and
original parts including water pump, distributor, alternator,
starter, intake and exhaust manifolds, air cleaner, heads,
transistor ignition and voltage regulator. The original K19 smog
pump will be in a box accompanying the car. This C2 is completely
detailed and serviced. This car has always had a white Stinger on
the hood and is documented in the restoration photos. It's been
refinished in PPG lacquer in its original color of Rally Red. The
car sits on its original 15-inch Kelsey-Hayes steel wheels with the
original center caps and beauty rings. The wheels are wrapped with
Firestone Deluxe Champion 7.75x15 white sidewall tires. Inside the
glovebox are the original 427 high-performance sticker and tire
pressure labels. The carpet, dash, gauges, floor mats, headliner,
seatbelts and glass are all original. This car retains its original
VIN Tag, original Trim Tag, original color combination, original
drivetrain and running gear, and a completely unrestored interior.
As the NCRS Shipping Data report indicates, the official production
date was September 20, 1966. This is an early-production 1967 coupe
that was delivered to Montgomery Chevrolet in North Hollywood, CA.
This car spent its life in Southern California and is still
registered there. It retains its original Black Plates and clean
California title. This C2 is accompanied by the CCAS affirmation
paperwork, and a partial Tank Sticker showing the big-block
designator that is still on the original gas tank and protected by
plastic. There is a full photo album showing and documenting the
restoration. 54,334 miles (title reads exempt). ** PREVIEW
