Vehicle Description
This 1957 Chevrolet Corvette Fuelie convertible is finished in red
with Ivory coves over a red vinyl interior. It is powered by a
fuel-injected 283/250hp V8 engine paired with a 2-speed Powerglide
automatic transmission. The stamping on the engine pad displays the
FK suffix code, which is consistent with a 283ci V8 rated at 250hp
and designated for a 1957 Corvette with Rochester fuel injection
and an automatic transmission. It rides on independent front
suspension and a solid rear axle with semi-elliptical leaf springs
and has 4-wheel drum brakes. Equipment includes a power-operated
white convertible soft-top, and 15-inch steel wheels with knock-off
spinner hubcaps and 6.70-15 Firestone Deluxe Champion whitewall
tires that show 2004 date codes as well as cracks on the sidewalls.
The car received a Triple Crown award in 2005 following recognition
that included an NCRS Top Flight award, a Gold Spinner award and
Bloomington Gold certification. Additional Regional and National
NCRS Top Flight awards and judging sheets are included in the sale,
along with a Duntov Mark of Excellence award and additional
Bloomington Gold judging sheets.
