1975 Volkswagen Type 2 in West Palm Beach, Florida

Vehicle Description

This 1975 Volkswagen Type 1 pickup was completely restored and customized. Discovered in a closed garage in Brazil, these were produced until the middle of 1975; it was the last year of production of split-windows in the world. The car was carefully disassembled and painted in two-tone Aquamarine Blue, a 1957 Porsche PPG paint code, and Vanilla. It is powered by an upgraded 1,835cc 4-cylinder engine with dual 40mm Solex carburetors with a 4x2 exhaust mated to a 4-speed Freeway Flyer manual transmission. The steering box has been upgraded to a new roller box for improved performance. This pickup rides on EMPI 15x5.5-inch aluminum wheels wrapped in radial tires. The spare tire is housed in its original position, complemented by a fifth EMPI wheel. The entire electrical system, including the Angel Eyes headlights and an LED-lit speedometer, has undergone a comprehensive overhaul. The exterior features include new green glass, a safari windshield with a convenient pop-out feature, two green sky windows and the luxury model's complete set of moldings. It has many items chromed both inside and outside of the car, including the authentically restored VW old stock bumpers. The custom interior features high-quality beige leather upholstery and handcrafted new seats and is finished with beige carpeting. It also features a storage unit beneath the truck bed.
