This 1989 Chevy Scottsdale K2500 is a super clean and solid, really
cool, low mileage truck. This is also a 2 Owner truck that spent
its life in California. The first owner owned the truck until 2022
and it was purchased from an estate by the 2nd owner. This truck
was clearly loved and cared for in its lifetime. Recently this
truck has had a lot of preventive maintenance done to it to keep it
updated since the first owner had not used the truck too much in
the last 5-10 years because of his age. This is a really nice
example that comes with a lot of receipts and a log book of
maintenance. This truck was used to take trips to Alaska and Canada
and has some cool upgrades. The body on this truck is in
exceptional condition. It is super clean and straight and obviously
rust free. This truck was professionally repainted in its original
colors of Red and White because of the GM Clearcoat issues and the
paint looks fantastic. It is a great color combination. All of the
original chrome and trim is in excellent condition as well. The
inside of the bed is also really clean. The underside looks amazing
and we found no rust issues with this truck.
The interior is also in excellent original condition!! The seat,
headliner, door panels, floor mat, dash, and dash bezel are all in
beautiful condition. The headlights, taillights, brake lights, and
turn signals are all working. The gauges all work. This truck has
tilt and working cruise control. The horn and windshield wipers
work and the heat and AC are also working. Exceptional Truck!!
Mechanically this truck is top notch!!! The engine is the original
5.7L 350 V8 TBI that runs strong and smooth with no issues or red
flags that we found. It is totally stock with the exception of the
Doug Thorley Headers, Magnaflow Mufflers, and 3" Exhaust. The truck
sounds great!! The transmission is the 700R4 Automatic that shifts
nice and the transmission was replaced with a heavy duty ReMan
around 15,000 miles ago (have receipt). He had an external
transmission temp gauge installed at that time. He also had a Gear
Vendors Overdrive installed which makes it run at lower RPM's when
going down the highway. It has the np241c Transfer Case and the 4WD
works like it should. The rear axle is a 12 Bolt with 3.73 gears
and the front axle is the IFS with 3.73 gears. It has a really nice
set of factory wheels with new Mud Terrain tires installed. There
is also a cool Transfer Flow auxiliary 40 Gallon fuel tank in the
bed of the truck that transfers fuel when the main tank starts
going down. It was added because the original owner travelled in
the boondocks of Alaska and canada and wanted it for peace of
mind....cool addition.
