Vehicle Description
Gateway Classic Cars of San Antonio/Austin is proud to present this
Boss 2002 Ford F150 finished in Blazing Yellow. The Boss 5.4 may
look like an SVT F-150 Lightning or Harley Davidson Edition, but it
is not a performance package. In fact, it's not even a Ford trim
option at all. The Boss 5.4 was produced in limited numbers by L.A
West, an Indiana-based conversion company in 2002 and 2003. Only
500 each year were produced, this example being number 472 for
2002. The only engine option was the Ford Triton 5.4L V-8 which
produces 260hp and 350 lb.-ft. of torque when mated to an automatic
transmission. Move inside and you'll notice the dash is all yellow
carbon fiber which was carefully molded to the instrument cluster,
ac venting and other controls. The cab features a 60/40 split bench
seat upholstered in black leather buckets with built in headrests,
and some tuck and roll inserts. Yellow piping and embroidered Boss
5.4 stitching finishes off the seats. The four-spoke
leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 100-mph speedometer and a
6k-rpm tachometer as well as gauges for oil pressure, battery
voltage, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The digital odometer
indicates under 120k Carfax reported miles. This is not a vehicle
for the shy type as you will certainly get noticed in this bright
and colorful pick up.
