Gateway Classic Cars of San Antonio/Austin is proud to offer this
1955 Chevrolet Pickup. The drivetrain was rebuilt around 900 miles
ago and consists of a 5.3 Vortec V-8 with a Champion aluminum
radiator, mated to a smooth shifting 4L65E automatic transmission
sending power to the Ford 8.8" rear end. All riding on chrome,
staggered American Racing 235/50R17s on the front and 255/50R20s in
the rear. The interior is equipped with two newer style bucket
seats trimmed in a two-tone tan upholstery with color-coordinated
door panel trim, carpet, and headliner. The sheet metal surfaces
are finished to match the exterior, and equipment includes cold
blowing Vintage Air, power steering, 4-wheel power disc brakes,
manual-crank side windows, and an aftermarket stereo with dual
speakers. The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 140-mph
speedometer and auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, battery
voltage, oil pressure and fuel level. The five-digit odometer
indicates just under 900 miles since the rebuild, although true
mileage is unknown. One thing is for certain is that is this truck
is not your Granddad's old farm truck!
