Studebaker Silver Hawk- 350/350 9' ford posi trac. runs great looks
great too, 2 1/2 yr. on paint, new gas tank, sending unit, filters,
fuel pump, Edelbrock carb 4bbl, new interior front to back top to
bottom, dolphin gauges, brakes all new, wheel cylinders, rubber
lines, master cylinder & power unit, dual exhaust & flow masters. 4
new tires, bumpers all rechromed. New head light rings, door
mirrors, window felts, rubber hood bumpers. New crate motor. The
Silver Hawk was designed right with the engine behind the front
axle line for a perfect weight distrabution. Clock, gas gauge and
radio don't work. Studebaker created the first muscle car eight
years before the GTO. It had the second highest power-to-weight
ratio of any American production car. Contemporary road tests
verified the Golden Hawk was faster/quicker in the 1/4 mile than
the Corvette, Thunderbird and Chrysler 300B. In top speed, only the
Chrysler 300B could equal it.. With the 350 Chevy engine this
Silver Hawks runs even stronger. 1957 Studebaker Silver Hawks
