Description:
This 1956 Ford F-100 pickup was refurbished under prior ownership
and acquired by us in 2024. Subsequent work consisted of servicing
the brakes, rebuilding the carburetor, replacing the mechanical
fuel pump, choke thermostat, distributor cap, and spark plugs, and
installing a PerTronix ignitor and Flame-Thrower ignition coil.
Power is provided by a 272ci Y-block V8 linked with a
column-shifted three-speed manual transmission and the truck is
finished in red over red vinyl upholstery. Equipment includes a
wrap-around front window, a wood-lined bed floor, running boards, a
receiver hitch, 15? painted steel wheels with polished hubcaps, a
cabin heater, exhaust headers, and a dual exhaust system with
Flowmaster mufflers.
Interior:
The bench seat is trimmed in red vinyl upholstery with patterned
pleated inserts. Interior appointments include body-color metal
surfaces, a cabin heater, a rubber floor covering, a turn signal
stalk, and quarter vent windows. The speedometer and temperature
gauges do not work and the five-digit odometer shows 15k miles.
Total mileage is unknown.
Exterior:
The truck was repainted in red under prior ownership and details
include a wrap-around front windshield, a bright dual-bar grille,
running boards, dual taillights, a receiver hitch, dual side
mirrors, polished exhaust finishers, and a wood bed floor with
bright runners.
Drivetrain:
The 272ci Y-block V8 features a two-barrel carburetor, exhaust
headers, and a polished air cleaner and valve covers. Work in 2024
consisted of rebuilding the carburetor, replacing the mechanical
fuel pump, choke thermostat, distributor cap, and spark plugs, and
installing a PerTronix ignitor and Flame-Thrower ignition coil.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a column-shifted
three-speed manual transmission. Red-finished 15? steel wheels wear
Ford-branded hubcaps and are mounted with 235/75 Coker whitewall
tires. Stopping power is provided by drums at all four corners. The
brakes have been serviced in preparation for the sale.
