Vehicle Description
The 1964 Ford Econoline Pickup was a compact pickup truck produced
by the Ford Motor Company. It was based on the Econoline van
platform, which was designed to be a compact and efficient
alternative to traditional full-size pickups. The example here
shows well and rides on 15 inch wheels.
The Econoline Pickup featured a unibody construction, which meant
that the body and frame were integrated into a single structure.
This design allowed for a lower center of gravity and better
handling, while also reducing weight and improving fuel
economy.
Under the hood, the Econoline Pickup is powered by a inline-six
engine that is paired with a three-speed manual transmission. The
exterior of the Econoline is finished in tan and shows well.
