Street 1972 Chevy Nova for your consideration. This serious Street
Machine features everything that the 1980's Pro Steet movement was
all about. Big rear tires that looked like racing slicks, tucked up
under the car like a NHRA Pro Stocker. This big tire Nova is a
great combination of a beautiful, bright red paint offset by the
black interior. Under the hood is 540 cubic inch SSRE Big Block
Chevy that supports a polished 8-71 blower that is mated to a firm
shifting Turbo 400 that has been built to handle all the power. Out
back you'll find the traditional 9" Ford that has been narrowed and
has a set of 3.70 gears and a posi unit. This bruiser rolls on Weld
Wheels up front and Trakstars in the back with Sanderson Double
Bead Locks and with fitted with Hoosier DOT street legal tires.
This Nova has the right stance and is ready to roll. So, if you're

Brainwashed by images of the likes of Scott Sullivan's Nova in so
many magazines, many street machiner's of the '70s transformed
their cars for the '80s by tubbing them into Pro Streeters. Nearly
any car of this trend was back-halfed rather than using a full tube
chassis, and many simply moved leaf springs inboard to fit huge
meats rather than go all the way with ladder bars or a four-link
and coil-overs. A Roots blower poking through the hood was a
signature item of Pro Streeters well into the '90s.
