Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this 1979 Factory TA with the original matching numbers 403 engine and automatic transmission. This TA was last registered in 2007 when the car had 56,609 miles. The 57K miles are believed to be original miles and the car shows and drives as such. This TA has had some recent upgrades in 2022 and is in nice overall condition. This TA features believed to be mostly factory Heritage Brown original paint, a mostly original deluxe camel interior, the original 403 engine, the original owners manual, and a partial factory build sheet. This Trans Am is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Brown over Camel deluxe interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag pictured above and included build sheet. This TA was heavily rust proofed when new and has really done its job and kept this TA solid. Rust proofing is still in place and visible underneath the car and in the engine bay, etc.
Exterior
The Brown exterior is in mostly original condition. This Trans Am has believed to be mostly original paint and still shows well and shows no repairs or bodywork around the car. The paint is in good overall condition with no signs of visible rust on the body and the underside is solid with no patches. The paint is still nice and the fit and finish of the car is very good. There may be some imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but nothing was intentionally excluded from the photos. The tires have near full tread left and are sized 255/45/17 and the 17" snowflake wheels are new and new condition with new center caps and lug nuts. Tire DOT codes are 24/22 which means the tires were manufactured the 24th week of 2022. All weather stripping and window sweeps are in good condition. Trunk is very solid and clean with an original felt trunk mat, space save spare tire, and jack.
Interior
The Camel deluxe interior of this Trans Am is in good mostly original condition. The seat covers are in good overall condition with no major wear or rips. The carpet was just replaced and is new and in new condition with no rips or holes. The original dash is in terrific condition with no cracks or fading and the dash bezel is in great shape. The stereo was upgraded to a CD player with new 6x9 speakers in the rear deck. The stereo needs wired up however. The door panels appear to be original and are in great condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner was just replaced and is like new and in new shape. The original package tray is in good condition. All interior and exterior lights and gauges work as does the heater and wipers. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever.
Mechanical
This Trans Am is in great mechanical condition and runs and drives well and has good power. The original numbers matching 403 engine runs great and has plenty of power and this TA runs and drives well. The engine was rebuilt a few years and ago and a new aluminum intake was added and Holley carb. A new radiator was added as well along with a new battery. The brakes work well and do not pull from side to side and all new brake lines and brake hoses were added recently. All new fuel lines were added along with a new fuel pump and fuel tank. The exhaust was upgraded to true dual mufflers with performance headers and gives this TA a nice rumble at idle and cruising speeds. A new starter was recently added. In the video one can observe this car running and driving and shifting through the gears. This Trans Am fires right up and holds idle and runs and drives well. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. Also, the engine bay is nicely detailed and clean and shows well. This is a factory NON AC car which really cleans up the engine bay area and enhances performance. This TA is a true attention getter and very fun to drive around on a nice day.
