The 2016 Street Glide Special takes the standard Project Rushmore upgrades a little further with a Gloss Black inner fairing, Reflex Linked ABS brakes, the Boom Box 6.5 GT touch-screen navigation system and an adjustable lowered rear suspension. Powered by the high output Twin Cam 103” engine the FLHXS is truly a hot rod bagger. This particular example was purchased new by Danny Gray who customized it from top to bottom. To start there is a long list of matching H-D covers for items such as the rocker boxes, primary, engine, transmission, air filter, gas cap, front axle, saddle bag hinges, master cylinder, clutch reservoir and the exhaust tips. It has a complete matching set of H-D grips, mirrors, levers, highway pegs, passenger pegs, floor boards, shift linkage, shift levers, shift pegs, the brake pedal and a windshield bezel as well as a matching set of H-D rims, drive pulley and rotors. All of the parts listed are contrast cut with orange pinstripes that are carried out through the gas tank, fenders, side covers and the added razor tour-pak. As if that weren’t enough you will also find a set of 12” Monkey Bars, a custom seat with matching driver and passenger backrest with snake skin insets, rear Rokker speakers for the saddlebag lids and in the fairing as well as a 4 channel Rokker amplifier. It has a performance tuner, a Stage I air breather and it sounds just plain nasty ripping through its Screamin’ Eagle true dual performance exhaust system. Within the last 500 miles it has received new tires front and rear as well as all new fluids and filters. All said and done well over $20,000 was spent customizing this sweet bagger yet we are only asking $1,000 over the current KBB retail value.
