DETAILSTUNNINGLY ORIGINAL, LOW-MILEAGE EXAMPLE As the leader of
America's luxury-car market for much of its existence, Cadillac met
the challenges of the 1970s with great success. Following the
substantial restyling for 1969, influenced by the new-for-1967
Eldorado, only detail refinements were deemed necessary for 1970
and 1971. The DeVille hardtop sedan and equally strong-selling
Coupe DeVille 2-door hardtop were Cadillac's most important models
of the era, accounting for 69,345 and 66,081 built out of total
Cadillac production of 188,537 for model year 1971, including this
exceptionally well preserved and highly original example. Offered
with just over 17,250 original miles and retaining the original
paint finish, this unusually well preserved 1971 Cadillac Coupe
DeVille exemplifies Cadillac's trademark power and prestige. Built
at Cadillac's Linden, New Jersey factory during May 1971 and
accompanied by the original sale invoice, it was sold new by the
Fries Cadillac Company to Mr. and Mrs. Kern of Pennsylvania, who
would use the vehicle only sparingly and preserve it during their
ownership. Ordered in black-on-black livery and quite rare without
the customary vinyl roof covering, the Coupe DeVille's original
options and accessories included Climate Control A/C, an AM/FM
radio, Soft Ray tinted glass, a 6-way power-adjustable front seat,
and headlamp control. Cadillac's proprietary 472 CI V-8 engine,
rated at 345 horsepower, is paired with a Turbo-Hydramatic 400
automatic transmission. Methodical mechanical service work
performed 2018-21 addressed the Cadillac's A/C system, brakes,
interior and exterior lighting, suspension, brakes, exhaust, and
various gaskets and seals. A of four new tires was also fitted in
2021. Records for these works are included with the sale of this
beautifully presented and highly original 1971 Cadillac Coupe
DeVille. Further pre-sale Inspection, service, and detailing are
freshly completed. Experience it for yourself by calling us for
