This is a real all steel 1934 Ford! Not a reproduction, not
fiberglass. This was a complete body off frame custom build. It has
nice upgrades while retaining some of its nostalgic features.
EXTERIOR: All steel body and fenders. It's a non-chopped 5 window
coupe with suicide doors. The restoration is at least 20 years old,
and the body still looks mint. It is straight with no rust or
damage. The doors fit and shut really nice. Painted a bright red it
is polished like glass. It has picked up a few nicks over the years
but it's not cracking or shrinking. It has original style chrome
bumpers and grill; they shine but aren't new. It also has original
style handles which I prefer. It has running boards you can stand
on too. It has a great stance sitting on chrome wheels and
staggered size tires.
INTERIOR: Reupholstered to resemble the original. Gray fabric with
buttons and pleats on the seats, door panels and headliner. Nice,
clean looking dash area. The heat and a/c is mounted neatly below.
The stereo and speakers are behind the seat and has a remote
control. The windows roll back or roll down, just like they did in
1934! Most importantly I think it's comfortable. I'm 6 ft and fit
no problem, pedal placement is good.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The engine bay is smooth metal painted gloss
red. The heart of it is a performance built 355. It was rebuilt by
Lamb's Performance. It's a roller motor, has Brodix aluminum heads,
Edelbrock air cleaner and carb. The alternator and a/c compressor
are chrome. It runs cool with a Walker radiator, stainless hose,
and polished overflow.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It uses original chrome handle and lifts up with
the help of gas struts. Inside is upholstered and there is a master
disconnect switch.
UNDERSIDE: 1934 frame. Up front the entire steering and suspension
was chromed. It has a tubular drop axle and trailing arms. In back
it has leaf springs and shocks. Custom stainless fuel cell.
Stainless dual exhaust system with glass pack style mufflers. The
power brake booster is under the car, and it has disc in front,
e-brake assembly is hooked up. 700R-4 overdrive automatic with a
finned aluminum pan. There is a switch in the car to turn off the
overdrive is you so desire. A custom-made driveshaft connects to a
Ford 9 inch with 3.42 posi gears. Everything was painted red when
it was restored, the floors have red chip guard.
SERVICE: We inspected the car and charged the a/c, fixed the wipers
and installed a neutral safety switch.
Replicas are cool but getting an all steel, full fender 34 with a
chrome grill is special. Not everyone can have one. The kits are
being built every day, they aren't building real 1934s anymore!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to
assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are
answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video
that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are
displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an
appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment
there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car,
your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year
membership.
