GR Auto Gallery is pleased to bring to market this 1940 Plymouth
Two Door Coupe your consideration. Powering this Plymouth comes
with a rebuilt 201ci flathead 6 with dual Stromberg carburetors
paired with a 3-speed manual transmission. This example was a
Police radio car in California.
The Plymouth was totally restyled for 1939, it was longer, lower,
and wider, with headlamps now within the fenders. The 1940 cars'
wheelbase was stretched 3 inches, in addition, the engine was moved
4 inches forward, so the passenger compartment increased in size
with the seats now cradled inside the suspension, rather than over
it. The glass area in the new bodies was also increased by 18%.
