Description:
This dune buggy features a yellow fiberglass body mounted to a
Volkswagen Beetle chassis and is powered by an air-cooled 1,192cc
flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. Equipment
includes 15? steel wheels, drum brakes, tubular bumpers, and a
Bimini top as well as black and yellow upholstery, a Grant steering
wheel, and a roll bar.
Interior:
The bucket seats are trimmed in black and yellow vinyl and are
joined by black carpeting. Interior elements include a roll bar, a
Signal-Stat 900 Sigflare turn signal switch, and a Grant steering
wheel. The turn signals do not work. Instrumentation consists of a
90-mph VDO speedometer, a Magura fuel level gauge, and Suntune
readouts for amperage and oil pressure. The five-digit mechanical
odometer shows 59k miles, and true mileage is unknown. The
speedometer is inoperative.
Exterior:
The fiberglass body is finished in yellow with black sides and is
mounted to a Volkswagen Beetle chassis. Exterior details include a
bimini top with a white and yellow cover as well as chrome trim,
white taillight housings, tubular bumpers, side steps, and
European-specification taillight lenses.
Drivetrain:
The air-cooled 1,192cc (6) flat-four is fed by a single downdraft
carburetor, a 009-style distributor, and a polished off-road
exhaust system. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed
manual transaxle. Chrome 15? steel wheels are wrapped in Steel
Belted tires measuring 215/75 Steel Belted Radial tires up front
and 31�10.50 Negotiator Radial tires out back. Stopping power is
provided by four-wheel drum brakes.
