20,314 actual miles on this stunning Brougham! It has had extensive
service; it functions and looks like new! These big Caddys ride
like they are on air and the colors on this one are unbeatable. Al
Pacino's most famous line "I got the Fleetwood Brougham,
forgedaboudit." Whether you live in the life of crime or just enjoy
watching classic American mobster movies, one sit in this Brougham
will make you feel like a Boss.
EXTERIOR: This is the full size, "square body" sedan that is even
more impressive today than it was in 1989. They don't make them
like this anymore! The long body is straight with no rust or
damage. Black is the most desirable color for a big Caddy, it looks
so gangster. This paint is polished slick, the red pinstripe is a
nice touch. Other striking accents include a padded top, quad
headlights, finned taillights, and all of the luxurious sparkling
chrome trim that wraps the entire car. And don't forgedabout the
15" steel wheels with wire covers that sparkle and are sitting on
classic white wall tires. Glass is crystal clear, weatherstrips are
soft, jambs are spotless. Overall excellent condition by our
standards.
INTERIOR: Oh my, I want this interior to be my living room! It is
so luxurious and comfortable. Not to mention it is as close to
brand new as you can get! The red is amazing against the black.
Luxury was at its peak in these Caddy's. The power-adjustable split
front bench and rear bench are trimmed in soft leather with
embroidered backrest wreaths complemented by color coordinated
carpets. Woodgrain trim accents on the dashboard and door panels.
Even the seat belts, headliner, and steering wheel are matching in
red. Creature comforts include automatic climate control, cruise
control, power windows, locks, and mirrors. As well as a Symphony
Sound AM/FM cassette stereo. Everything is original aside from the
headliner that was replaced in 2017 due to the original sagging.
You wouldn't be able to tell it's not the original. The plastic is
not cracked, the dash still sparkles. The leather's still soft, the
carpet still vibrant, and it even smells like a new car still.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Under the hood is clean, proper, and complete!
It is one of the cleaner looking survivor engine compartments we've
seen. The 5.0-liter V8 is equipped with a four-barrel carburetor.
Although it won't win any races, it'll cruise around in style. All
the proper hoses, vacuum lines, pollution pump, hood insulation are
still in place. It features factory air conditioning, power
steering, power brakes and the air pump for the rear
suspension.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It is like new in this trunk. Under the trunk
lid and jamb have original paint and stickers in excellent shape.
The original weatherstrip looks like new. It's wall to wall
original gray carpet is excellent. Even the original spare and jack
are still in their matching gray covers. It also has optional
Cadillac cargo mat. We estimate you can fit at least 6 bodies in
this trunk compartment, maybe 7 with the automatic pull down trunk
lid!
UNDERSIDE: Very nice original undercarriage! Rock solid, it was
cleaned and given a dusting of black over the factory undercoat to
look fresh. This suspension is responsible for the "riding on a
cloud" sensation. It has been inspected and maintained recently.
Parts were replaced as needed; front end was aligned. It has
factory air ride in back. The power front disc brakes, and rear
drum brakes were inspected, and the brake fluid flushed and
changed. The exhaust appears to be the original and still in very
good condition. It's whisper quiet with a muffler and resonator.
Looking up at the engine and trans they present very nicely still.
The trans is a smooth shifting 200R-4 4 speed with overdrive
automatic.
SERVICE: The car has $4,648 recent service records by the previous
owner. Complete fluid, filter, and lubrication services. The
battery, tie rod ends, and idler arm were replaced. New headliner
was installed. We performed a $1,783 service when the car came in.
That included replacing a valve cover gasket, radiator cap, rear
taillight bulb, TPS and map sensor. We rebuilt the carb, charged
the A/C system, gave it a front-end alignment, and bled the brake
system.
Typically, you'd find these cars in earthy tone colors, this black
with red leather is absolutely to die for. Well not literally, you
don't want to end up in the trunk of your own Caddy. They will
never build them like this again. This one is as close as you can
get to buying a new 1989 Brougham. There may be others out there,
but they are not this car!
A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am
offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen
are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your
questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a
walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
**These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a
particular car, make an appointment with a salesman to see that
car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded, and
you will be given a 1 year membership.
