Vehicle Description
2020 Harley Davidson FLHX Touring Street Glide
More than 100 years ago a couple of 20 year olds got together and
began tinkering on a small engine idea and within a few years, put
it in a motorbike. And the rest is history. Talk about "long story
short"...Harley-Davidson, one of the most successful transportation
companies in American history, and their story would take pages to
tell, and we don't have that much space. Suffice it to say that
every bike that comes out of their factories today, (including the
one in York, PA, not far from Classic Auto Mall), can trace its
lineage to 1903.
For consignment, a well-maintained Street Glide in black denim
paint...this is HD's version of a "matte" finish and it presents
beautifully. The bike has just 7,293 title verified actual miles
and like we see so often with bike lovers, this one has been
pampered. We're happy to report that, based on the VIN, this bike
was produced just 50 miles from our illustrious mall and has been
stewarded by two previous owners. Harley made a number of changes
for the 2020 Touring Street Glide that improved looks, performance,
and convenience. Among those changes was a Reflex Defensive Rider
System that included five safety features including advanced
braking.
Exterior
The 90's term "murdered out" comes to mind here as a car that has a
matte finish coating most of the major external surface and that's
what is striking about his bike, the optional Black Denim paint is
a major departure from the shiny tanks and fenders we're so used to
seeing. Nowadays wraps are used to achieve this but in the case of
the FLHX, this is Harley specific paint with Harley specific
cleaners and care instructions. The way the chrome offsets this
matte black paint is simply beautiful and creates a bike that is
two-colored, if you photographed it in black and white it wouldn't
lose its appeal. The hard shell saddlebags, offset by the red side
markers, sweep backwards as if in motion or skirting the wind. An
interchangeable single seat comes with the bike (replacing the
double currently on the bike), along with a custom-painted helmet,
and a motorcycle cover.
Functionality
Four gauges in the dash indicate fuel level, speed, RPM's, and
volts while a large digital screen illuminated the infotainment
system which includes a GPS and radio. Controls on the left and
right handles are pretty standard and include lights, screen
navigation, horn, turn signals and hazards. Leather seating in
black matches the paint with a satin finish and the padded backrest
for the passenger follows that pattern. The wheel design, new for
2020, have flat black painted spokes; 19-inch in front, 18-inch in
the rear with staggered size tires. 130/60/19 in front and
180/55/18 in the back to keep your glued to the road.
Drivetrain
The bike is equipped with a 107ci V-Twin with electronic fuel
injection and a six speed manual transmission. The rear wheel is
belt driven and disc brakes are standard on front and back.
Suspension is handled by a telescopic front fork and twin side
swing arms in rear. Exhaust is routed through dual pipes.
Truly a bike for the discerning motorcycle enthusiast and/or
collector. This denim black baby is barely broken in and is in
excellent condition.
