The flagship of performance for the German automaker Porsche has
always been the 911. The styling of this 1999 Porsche 911 Carrera
Cabriolet is directly related to the earlier 911 models, but
beefier. The trunk is still in the front, the engine in the rear,
but driver and passengers now reside in a luxuriant interior. This
beautiful Carrera Cabriolet is virtually original in all respects.
The factory Red finish is in excellent condition and 17" aluminum
alloys mount Michelin performance radials. The interior is as nice
as any luxury car every produced. The tan leather upholstery is in
excellent original condition and standard features include power
seats, power tinted windows, cruise, dual front/side airbags, power
locks/keyless, telescopic wheel and a premium factory AM/FM sound
system. The convertible top is power assisted and the removable
hardtop is also included. The 3.4L naturally aspired, water-cooled,
aluminum flat six-cylinder engine produces 296bhp/258 lb/ft torque.
It utilizes a forged crank, aluminum pistons and sequential MPI.
The DOHC design employs 24-valves in conjunction with Porsche's
Variocam timing. The powerplant is backed by a Getrag six-speed
manual RWD transaxle. Steering is power-assisted and 4-piston ABS
power brakes utilize 12.5/11.8" ventilated discs. Front suspension
is MacPherson strut paired with a multi-link design in the rear.
The Carrera is a true performance automobile but there is no sane
way to approach its limits on the street. This Porsche 911 Carrera
Cabriolet is an outstanding example of this popular roadster that
will move very quickly. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
