For Sale: 1948 Willys Jeepster in Champlain, New York

Vehicle Description

Ride in a very well-kept example of the last true Phaeton, the Willys Jeepster. This very rare post-war era family car was produced for a fairly short run, from 1948 to 1951. Featuring a convertible top with no slide-down windows (does include side curtains), 2 rows of bench seats, powered by a 4 cylinder engine paired to a 3 on the tree and rear wheel drive. This example comes from Texas and is in very sound overall condition, no rust, engine and transmission have been rebuilt, electrical system has been converted to 12V. Comes with 5 whitewall tires (including spare). Added on tachometer, auxiliary fuel gauge and modern Pioneer radio. Comes with original replaced parts, owners manual and other litterature. We have ordered the original whhels and are waiting to received it.

The Jeepster was an attempt by Willys-Overland, producer of the original Jeep used in WW2, to adapt to the early post-war market by offering a civilian-oriented version of their rugged general purpose vehicle that GI's loved so much while overseas.
