While not specifically mentioning any model in particular, if there
ever was ever going to be a designated car that personified War's
1975 hit 'Lowrider,' this 1964 Chevrolet Impala Lowrider is it. One
look at its fully custom, heavily flaked Metallic Green paint and
gold paint, and it's hard not to be instantly impressed. The
hand-laid leafing over the body, hardtop, and side skirts
complements the chrome trim perfectly. The fully hydraulic
four-corner suspension uses coil springs, dual pumps, and is
powered by four (yes, four) batteries located in the trunk.
Remarkably, the inside of this Impala is just as impressive as the
outside, even if it isn't quite as in-your-face about it. From the
neatly aligned door trim buttons, working dome lights or
factory-installed tissue box under the dash, this Chevy has it all.
Even the hydraulic switches appear as though they came straight
from the production line.
Pop the hood of the green and gold goddess, and we find a GM 350
cubic-inch crate V-8. Topped with a single 4-barrel Edelbrock 1406
carburetor that uses an electric choke, that engine then sends
exhaust through a set of stock manifolds and out to an aftermarket
true dual exhaust setup. That power is channeled through a modern
700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. Out back, we find a GM
drop-out 10-bolt rear sends power to a set of 13-inch wire wheels
shod in 155/80R-13 rubber. Power disc brakes up front and power
drums in the rear round out a very capable and thoughtful
drivetrain.

While some folks like the idea of owning a real sleeper, those
people need not apply here. This 1964 Chevrolet Impala Lowrider was
built to be seen. Whether that is at car shows, parades, or
starring in music videos, this car is a true show-stopper.
Appropriately painted in Emerald Green, choosing this lowrider all
but guarantees to inspire impossible fits of jealousy from
onlookers everywhere. Don't miss your chance to own the spotlight.
