Vehicle Description
1969 Cadillac Deville 100% stock, all original, running and driving
Deville. The original owner of the car put around 65,000 miles on
it, then the car sat for about 10 years. After that, the second
owner bought it with plans to rip the motor out and use it for
another project, but realized the car was way too complete to part
out or toss aside. He never really got it running right and he sold
it to me. I took the car in, and did all the mechanical maintenance
it needed to be a proper, road going, car. I had plans of
installing airbag suspension, painting it all black, and making it
into a lowrider; but I couldn't bring myself to moding and
potentially ruining a car this complete. I also have other projects
and no longer have the space in my life for this car. I've loved
owning and driving this car. If I had more space I would keep it
and continue to enjoy driving it. It's true what everyone says
about the suspension and the comfort that these cars have. I've
driven modern luxury cars and this thing still rides better. 1969
was one of the last years before people started wanting compromise.
This car is just shy of 20 feet long, it's 472 or 7.7 liter motor
is free of choking emissions equipment allowing it to make 375hp
and 525lb of torque originally. Power is put to the ground with a
Turbo 400 3 speed auto that is slushy and smooth in all the right
ways for a car like this. This car will happily cruse at 80 miles
an hour and keeps up with modern traffic with ease, I drove the car
to work countless times, took it out on the town with friends, and
loved driving it. ?????? ???????? -Runs and drives (drive it home!)
