built in the timeless Bronze Green color, has
undergone an extensive Stage 2 restoration process that involved a
frame-on approach, preserving the
original engine and firewall. The attention to detail in the
restoration is evident throughout, ensuring
that every aspect of this Series II reflects the commitment to
excellence.
The body of this Series II has been meticulously restored, with the
chassis and shell undergoing full
media blasting and receiving two coats of epoxy primer. The roof
features a soft top for an authentic
touch, and galvanized OEM Land Rover parts, nuts, and bolts ensure
durability. The chassis has been
reinforced, addressing factory welds and panels, and stainless
steel bolts have been used throughout the
shell and body.
The Bronze Green color extends beyond the exterior, with
Kevlar-based bed liner applied to the inside
floor and underneath the shell and steps. The outside paint is a
single-coat unicolor Sikkens finish,
complemented by black parts treated with a "pretto" treatment.
Underneath, the suspension boasts OEM shock absorbers, joints,
bearings, and bushings, with 2-inch
lifted OEM leaves/springs and sway bars. The steering system
features an aftermarket power steering
brand, ensuring smooth handling on and off the road.
Powering this Series II is a rebuilt Land Rover 2.25 diesel engine
with an inline-4 configuration. The
engine delivers 62 hp at 4,000 rpm and 103 lb�ft of torque at 1,800
rpm. The gearbox is a Land Rover
Model LT76, a 4-speed with synchro, paired with a transfer case
offering H-4H-4L options. Differentials
with a 4.7:1 ratio enhance off-road capabilities.
Braking is handled by power drum brakes on both the front and rear,
each equipped with two pumps.
The exhaust system features a lifetime warranty full aluminized
exhaust with a 2.5-inch diameter, rubber
mounted, and includes a catalytic converter with flex front and
rear.
Rolling on tubular high-capacity steel wheels (16x5.5 inches),
wrapped 265/75r16 tires, this Series II
exudes a rugged and authentic presence. The electrical system is
upgraded to a 12-volt setup with a 62
amp alternator, complete with modern wiring, relays, and
connections. Lighting includes H4 open beams
at the front and OEM look rear lights for flasher, stop, and
reverse functions.
Inside, the upholstery features high-capacity vinyl with polysmart
foam, providing comfort and durability.
The front boasts a black bench seat, and the rear is equipped with
jump seats, enhancing the Series II's
versatility. Windows are new with 2020 impact-protected glass,
providing clarity and safety. This Land
