Zimmer Golden Spirit. The Zimmer Motorcars Corporation was founded
in 1978 by Art Zimmer. Building neo-classical styled automobiles
with the Golden Spirit being the flagship model. Producing over
1500 cars from 1978-1988. The Golden Spirit was built on a Ford
Mustang chassis and drivetrain. Creating pieces of art that
continue to turn heads today. The elongated fiberglass bodies were
designed to reflect classic cars from the 1920s and 30s. With
standout features including long flowing fenders, running boards,
exposed large headlights, mesh grilles, faux exhaust ports, opera
windows, half vinyl roofs, side-mounted spare tires, wire wheels,
ostentatious hood ornaments, and so much more. This 1986 Zimmer
Golden Spirit is painted in classic beige with all the extra
glamorous touches. Deep dish real wire wheels are mounted on white
wall tires, vinyl wrapped rear trunk, large exposed chrome horns,
eagle hood ornament, and all the Golden Spirit features mentioned
above make this Zimmer a real conversation piece. The luxurious
beige interior consists of Recaro leather bucket seats, wood trim
panels and ultra-thick carpeting. Comfort features include
air-conditioning, power windows, power locks, tilt, cruise, wood
steering wheel, and a Pioneer AM/FM/ cassette radio. Under the hood
rests a 5.0 V-8 attached to a four-speed automatic transmission.
