Vehicle Description
Classic Car Addict is proud to present this beautiful 2002
Chevrolet Corvette convertible for sale in our Mesa, Arizona
showroom. The Chevrolet Corvette is one of the best performance
cars on the market, and it's also a real value. We realize value
may not be the first word that jumps to your mind when looking at a
$50K sticker. But this C5 delivers a combination of acceleration
and handling performance for a fraction of the price. Dodge,
Porsche, and various exotics are far more expensive and have a much
larger price tag.
The fifth-generation Corvette, or C5, made its debut in 1997; it
was the first complete Corvette redesign since 1984. While the
basic concept is the same as it was in 1953 - a two-seat
plastic-bodied all-American sports car - the C5 shares almost
nothing with previous-generation Corvettes. The wheelbase is
longer, the track is wider, structural rigidity is far higher, and
there are far fewer pieces in the whole assembly, which improves
rigidity and quality. It offers vastly improved ride quality - and
performance - over the fourth-generation Corvette.
Let's jump into this gorgeous interior. It features beautiful Torch
Red leather seats (that are in great shape, no rips, or tears) and
has a two tone with black doors. The red carpet is also in
excellent shape with no stains. The black canvas convertible top is
also in excellent shape, and it does feature the glass rear window.
The top seals well - there are no leaks. The car also features the
Preferred Equipment Group with dual-zone A/C, fog lights, power
memory seats, head-up display, auto-dimming mirrors, tilt-tele
steering, polished aluminum wheels. We still think there are people
who will enjoy the factory CD player as well.
Torch Red exterior, who doesn't love this color combination? After
some research, we found that only 32 convertible manuals were
offered with Torch Red exterior and Torch Red interior. We think
those are some awesome numbers! The C5 does have PPF on the hood,
bumper, and side panels. The fiberglass body panels are finished in
Torch Red with a black canvas top and includes pop-up headlights,
fog lights, and quad exhaust.
The 5.7-liter LS1 V8 was factory rated at 350 horsepower and 375
lb.-ft of torque when equipped with a manual transmission. Power is
sent to the rear wheels via a rear-mounted six-speed manual
transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Additional photos of the
underside are available. The Carfax report shows no accidents or
other damage and will come with receipts.
