A staple piece of English sport car history. This little MG has a
peppy little 4 cylinder, 4 speed manual trans, tonneau cover, and
raw mechanical power to enjoy spirited driving. It was owned by the
previous owner for the past 30 years! During that time, he did a
full restoration on this car.
EXTERIOR: Just a sharp looking roadster. The body fit and finish is
fantastic, and the bright red paint pops and is accented nicely
with chrome trim and accessories. The front features sparkly fender
fitted mirrors, stainless rings around the headlamps, a mirrored
finish MG front grill, and chrome bumper with badge bar. The steel
wheels are equipped with trim rings and fit perfectly to the car.
For the chance you get caught in cold or rainy weather, this spunky
little roadster comes with a tonneau cover, side windows, and soft
top to fully enclose the cabin off.
INTERIOR: The cabin is simplistic yet intriguing. The dash reminds
you of an airplane cockpit. The gauges are stylish, matching, and
complete with tachometer. It's even equipped with the factory AM
radio and hidden under the dash is an 8-track player and speakers.
Comfortable black with red piping bucket seats make driving this
pleasurable. Other options include adjustable choke and throttle,
and map lighting for your passenger to guide you on your road trip.
Our favorite feature must be the original style 4 speed shifter
coming up from the floor and completed with an authentic MG wood
shift knob.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Under the hood sits the correct 1600cc inline
4-cylinder engine that's paired with twin carbs giving this little
roadster plenty of power for fun driving. Everything looks clean
and proper.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid is painted nicely, as well
as the jamb. The weather stripping has been replaced also. Overall
nice and complete fully carpeted trunk with spare tire and original
jack!
UNDERSIDE: Ground up restoration that's rust free. Everything was
gone through. The independent front suspension looks to be in great
shape. It features rack and pinion steering and front disc brakes.
The rear leaf springs were replaced, and the rear drum brakes
rebuilt. Braided fuel lines were installed, and the gas tank was
cleaned, prepped, and painted black. The fuel tank was refurbished
and painted a nice satin black. The correct exhaust is hung
properly and has a newer coated Walker muffler. The engine is
painted and looks clean. It's mated to its correct 4 speed manual
transmission. The rear end has been prepped, painted, and
refinished in satin black. The frame and floors were stripped,
prepped, and undercoated in a black texture guard.
SERVICE: This vehicle went through our shop inspection and passed
with flying colors.
This is the type of car you hop in and take for a drive to put a
smile on your face every time. You don't need to be racing around
to enjoy this one. You'll have the thrilling feeling of your youth
back just by shifting through the gears enjoying the wind blowing
around you.
A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am
offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen
are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your
questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a
walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
**These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a
particular car, make an appointment with a salesman to see that
car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded, and
you will be given a 1 year membership.
