Type 65 Factory Five F5R (Factory Five Racing) 1000101DC0000
There were only six original Coupes ever built and they captured
the 1965 FIA World Championship for America; it was the final years
before big budgets made road racing too expensive for the average
guy. More than 50 years later, the muscular lines and aggressive
stance of those amazing cars still makes people stop and stare.
The Factory Five Type 65 Coupe is true to the road racing legacy
that gave the design its birth. With modern engineering and
technologies, this car is much more livable than the originals.
F5R1000101DC is not your typical kit car; the quality of the build
is obvious in the finish and details. The reliable sensorial power
from the Coyote and the smooth shifting transmission deliver an
incredible driving experience.
Painted Ford Dark Portofino Blue, the hand-laid 3/16" laminate
composite body includes a hinged nose, main rear clip and doors
with hinged glass rear window. Made with high-quality vinyl ester
resin, both the driver and passenger doors come with molded door
liners and DOT door latches. An original style molded-in hood scoop
adorns the front while the rear main body section comes with a
laminated rear spoiler and a Le Mans style original polished
aluminum fuel cap. Spectre Air Filter Ceramic Coated side pipes and
ceramic film tinted windows give the sports car original styling
while managing the heat with modern technology. The Type 65 rides
on Vintage Wheels FA 18" spinner wheels shod with Nitto NT555 Gen 2
tires.
The body sits on a 95" wheelbase chassis comprised of a complete
jig-welded Gen 3 powder coated tube frame. The Type 65 has rack &
pinon power steering, adjustable upper control arms with ball
joints and fasteners, a 2015 Ford independent rear suspension with
high-quality KONI mono-tube, rod-end, coil-over shocks. Wilwood
brakes with bias adjuster provides the stopping power.
The 2017 FRPP Coyote 5.0L crate engine features an FRPP Boss
alternator and hi-torque starter, Aeromotive Phantom Fuel System
and is connected to a Performance Automatic 4R70W Street Smart
Transmission with an MSD Controller.
The 65 Coupe kit comes with authentic racing style seats, door
latches, toggles, rear view mirror, and a dash and gauge assembly
that is period correct. The Daytona has a collapsible column
connected to the vintage leather wrapped steering wheel with an
aluminum boss, center section and Factory Five Racing badge.
Stay cool with the Vintage Air Front Drive AC system as you grip
the Lokar Shifter with manual override. The racing style dash holds
a Kenwood GPS navigation system with dual cameras and SCT Tuner.
The 6061-T6 aluminum panels are lined with "Cool It Thermo Tec Heat
& Sound Suppressor" to keep it comfortable. The roster of features
includes RT's custom turn signal assembly, door sills and pontoons,
leather seats and steering wheel, a vinyl wrapped dash, headliner
and custom carpet door panels. It even includes a full roll cage
and SCCA style rear crossbar in the cockpit.
Fabricated by Factory Five Racing in June 2018 with completed
assembly in October 2020, FF Serial # F5R1000101DC is registered in
Colorado as a 2019 ASVE. The car has Mileage: 2,800 and is
