Vehicle Description
1976 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible
The Eldorado was introduced by Cadillac in 1952 and continued to be
produced all the way until 2002. These luxury cars were packed with
all of the best features of the time. The name is a reference to
the lost city of gold and was picked because in 1952 they were
celebrating the "Golden Anniversary" of Cadillac. They had 12
different generations with this 1976 belonging to the 9th. It is an
extremely unique vehicle in that it is a true survivor car with
15,948 original miles. It is a 2 owner car that has been in dry
climate controlled storage since 1977. Not only that but it has
been a Texas car since new and was originally sold from Frank Kent
Cadillac out of Fort Worth, Texas which is not far from where it
currently resides. The car wears its original metallic Green paint
which pairs nicely with the power White convertible top. The paint
looks great and the power top works well. It also comes with a
parade boot to keep it looking good and protected when the top is
down. This was the age of a lot of chrome all of which looks great.
It has its egg-crate grill and large front bumper which is cleanly
mounted in place. The rear bumper features a very unique design
where it wraps around and is inset into the rear fenders. All of
the lights work correctly with no issues. Another classic Cadillac
feature is the logo ornament fixed to the large front hood. The car
has a great stance and sits on its original wheels with Cadillac
hubcaps and Hankook tires.
Getting those tires turning is the large 500ci 8.2L V8 motor. It
starts up and runs great. Everything on the car is all original
except for the newer Exide battery with terminal kill switch. Other
than that everything has been kept as original as possible.
Combined with the motor is a 3 speed automatic transmission that
shifts smoothly. Known for luxury, Cadillac was always ahead of
their time by offering all of the nicest features available. This
one was ordered from the factory with every option available from
Cadillac at the time. The owner wanted the best of the best. With
power steering and all those options the car is very comfortable to
drive and just glides down the road.
The interior is the original White leather and is in excellent
condition for its age. It has a very luxurious tufted style pattern
and is very comfortable. Throughout the inside you will find very
classy engraved wood trim adorning the door panels and dash. The
Green dash pad is in excellent shape and speaks to the fact the car
has spent most of its life indoors. It even has wood inlayed into
the original steering wheel. Sitting in the driver's seat it is
very obvious you are in a luxury Cadillac. Once again, being a
Cadillac, it is packed with all the high end features including
power adjustable seats, power windows, cruise control and auto
dimming Sentinel lights. The trunk is all nicely carpeted and
houses the original jack and spare with cover. Underneath the deck
lid are the factory instruction stickers for using the jack.
In addition to getting this awesome car the purchase also comes
with its original fender skirts, owners manual, and dealer warranty
information.
This beautiful survivor Cadillac is being offered up at $41,000.00!
