There is perhaps nothing more iconic in the car world than a 1957
Chevy Bel Air. If it's a convertible you've really got something
special! Give it all the modern creature comforts and you'll never
want to leave the driver's seat!
This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible is a sight to behold! The
Sierra Gold Metallic paint plays beautifully with the new beige
convertible top, American Racing Torque Thrust wheels, and of
course the legendary Bel Air trim!
If you look closely you will see red Wilwood calipers and drilled
rotors peeking through the wheels on all four corners. That is your
first clue that this is no stock Bel Air. A crate 350 CID V8 engine
rumbles under the hood through dual exhaust. Pop that hood to
reveal just about every chrome piece you can stick on a small block
V8. Chrome water pump, radiator support cover, brake booster, brake
master cylinder, polished intake, air cleaner, valve covers,
electric fans, hood bracing, and more! A Be Cool aluminum radiator
with dual electric fans keeps the engine nice and cool.
The engine is bolted to a smooth 700R4 transmission, which is great
for cruising! Vintage Air A/C, power steering, and power 4-wheel
disc brakes make this a real treat to drive. That's not even the
end of the options list! This beauty also has a power convertible
top, power windows, leather upholstery, and of course the Wonder
Bar radio.
The suspension is upgraded with tubular upper and lower control
arms, 2" drop spindles, new torsion bars, and new sway bars. Other
upgrades include LED taillights, new tires and wheels, 3.36 gears
in the rear end, a new crate 350 engine, and a new
transmission.
The top is new and looks fantastic in beige canvas. The body and
paint were actually restored 20 years ago and still show like brand
new! During that restoration, most metal was replaced, including
all new floorpans, doors, fenders, hood, and trunk lid. This is not
fresh paint that may be hiding issues. This is a 20 year old paint
job that looks like it could have been done yesterday. Anyone that
knows anything about cars knows that is much preferred!
This is not something we see every day, and is sure to make the
next owner very proud to show it off and drive it!
