Vehicle Description
Cruisin Classics is pleased to present to you this beautiful 1950
Ford F1 Pick-up! This "Bonus Built" F-series truck comes to us
today with a very attractive beige and copper two-tone paint
scheme. The paint looks great at 5 feet, but up close are some
small touch-ups and imperfections that put it in a "good driver
condition" category. The front end of this F1 features a grille
comprised of 5 gleaming horizontal chrome bars flanked by round
headlights with bright bezels - a three-year-only design that still
looks great today. Brightwork is plentiful and in good condition
with hood side trim, hood "nose", dual side mirrors, door handles,
wiper arms, and F1 badging. There are nice reflective bumpers at
the front and rear, with some areas of light scratching on the
front one. The glass is very clear and both the windshield and rear
window seals look pretty new. Similarly, all of the body panel
gaskets are in very good condition. The steel running boards are
solid as a rock and topped with new rubber matting. Chrome exhaust
tips poke out from under the rear of the running boards on both
sides and emit an awesome rumble. The bed floor is made of
composite material that mimics wood separated by bright steel rails
- a combination that will surely last a very long time. The bed
floor is where you'll find the gas fill for the new tank that
resides beneath. The rear of this truck features a FORD logo
tailgate, nylon-covered gate latch chains, and dual tail lights.
Completing this great-looking exterior is a set of custom aluminum
wheels wrapped in Cooper Cobra Radial GT tires.
Under the hood is a very clean engine bay dressed in glossy beige
paint. At its heart is an orange Chevy 305ci V-8 topped with
Edelbrock valve covers, a chrome intake, dual chrome Edelbrock
4-barrel carburetors, and dual chrome air cleaners. Headers carry
the exhaust back through newer pipes and Magnaflow mufflers. Other
highlights under the hood include a chrome alternator, a chrome
compressor for the Vintage A/C system, power steering, and a
Champion aluminum radiator with an electric fan. You'll also notice
that this truck is equipped with power 4-wheel disc brakes with a
chrome-topped dual reservoir, drilled and slotted rotors, and red
calipers. The V-8 is mated to a TH350 3-speed automatic that sends
power to the rear end via a 10-bolt axle with a chrome cover
plate.
Open the driver's door to find a very nice two-tone beige and brown
interior. Both doors have been treated to new custom-made panels
that are certainly a cut above the spartan look that they
originally had in 1950. The two-tone vinyl bench seat is quite
comfortable, is in excellent condition, and comes equipped with
retractable seatbelts. Brown vinyl covers the rear cab walls flows
up and covers the ceiling as well. The same brown vinyl also covers
the front kick panels where some speakers have been mounted. Brown
carpet covers the floors and is topped with a carpeted black
floormat across the front. The beige-painted steel dash is home to
a set of working Dolphin gauges set in a brushed silver bezel, a
bright FORD center plate with a Kenwood AM/FM/CD/BT stereo, and a
glovebox that still has the original Ford data plate. Mounted under
the dash is the Vintage A/C unit that pumps out cold air with a
strong fan. It should be noted though that the heater has been
deleted. Ahead of the driver is a black 4-spoke leather-wrapped
Grant GT steering wheel with a working horn mounted on a chrome
tilt column. The driver is also treated to a floor-mounted Lokar
shifter for the 3-speed transmission and a floor-mounted emergency
brake.
If you're a fan of the style of these original F-series trucks but
don't want to be without modern conveniences like power steering,
4-wheel power disc brakes, cold A/C, and a nice stereo, then this
is a truck you'll want to take a hard look at! It's a perfect
combination of old-school cool and creature comforts all powered by
a modern drivetrain! Give us a call today before someone else
snatches this one up.
