Vehicle Description
This custom 1948 Ford COE truck was professionally custom-built. It
has been converted to a mid-mounted engine design powered by a
460ci V8 engine that's been bored 40-over and paired with a C6
3-speed automatic transmission. All the power is put to the
pavement with meaty Mickey Thompson rear tires. Spent gases exit
through a set of header pipes feeding large diameter vertical
stacks mounted behind the cab. The rear end is held in place with a
4-link setup, and this rig has coilover suspension all around. The
frame has been boxed and channeled and the exterior is finished in
a custom two-tone green with hand-painted pinstripes. This custom
COE also has power steering and 4-wheel disc brakes. The custom
airplane-inspired tan leather and metal interior features AutoMeter
gauges, power windows and a polished tilt steering column.
