Vehicle Description
This 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle convertible is a true custom
Pro-Touring Resto-Mod built by Hot Rod Service Company. It
underwent an extensive 3-year, concours rotisserie nut-and-bolt
full-body frame-off restoration. It's powered by a brand-new GM
Performance LSX376-B15 crate engine with upgrades, pushing out
817hp and 777 ft/lbs of torque, thanks to a 2.9-liter Whipple
supercharger mounted to it (both professionally tuned). The engine
is mated to a 4L80E 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission with a
3-clutch converter. Engine cooling is managed by a new Be Cool
aluminum billet radiator with dual electric fans. It's built on a
new modified Speedtech chassis support kit and includes a Currie
Fab 9-inch rear end with a center section Truetrac, armed with an
adjustable RideTech complete coilover suspension system for both
front and rear. Stopping power comes from a Wilwood 4-wheel master
cylinder kit with 6-piston brake calipers and 14-inch rotors in the
front and rear. It features white leather TMI Pro-Series Universal
Double Diamond low-back bucket seats, matching rear seating, door
panels, quarter panels, floor mats, premium carpet kit, fitted
Sport Trunk Kit, custom center console, 3-spoke Billet Specialties
steering wheel on an Ididit tilt steering column, and a custom
Sport dash pad with a Dakota Digital HDX complete gauge package
with programmable instrumentation. Modern advancements include
automatic keyless push-button start, proximity detection, power
windows, power locks, a USB charging port, Billet Specialties
interior door handles, Ringbrothers hood pins, billet hinges and a
full set of Morris Classic Concepts Clear Shot V2 rectangular side
mirrors. Further interior amenity enhancements consist of a Vintage
Air climate-control system, as well as insulating the heat and
sound with full Dynamat installed under the carpet to keep the
climate comfortable and the roaring engine sound low for occupants.
The retro stereo features an AM/FM/SiriusXM Bluetooth head unit
connected to a complete JL Audio system, including an amplifier,
two 10-inch subwoofers, and four 6-inch cabin component speakers in
the front and rear. For safety, Dapper Lighting LED headlights and
taillights have been installed. The car's exterior paintwork is
Bentley Kingfisher Blue laid over a laser-straight body. It's
accented by Pearl White SS Rally stripes along the cowl-induction
hood and decklid. Completing the look, the car rides on Avant Garde
3-piece alloy wheels measuring 20x9 inches in the front and 20x11.5
inches at the rear, all wrapped in Nitto tires. The entire top has
been replaced with a new power top setup, including shocks,
hydraulic lines and a motor, along with a new white convertible
vinyl top with a rear glass window. This is a completely new
no-expense-spared build with only 25 test miles since completion.
