Bentley Continental R Mulliner Wide Body
Treat yourself like royalty. Something we agree on. And you can't get much closer with a Bentley Continental R Mulliner Widebody.
The Continental R was the first Bentley in 26 years who didn't share his carriage with her sister Rolls-Royce. She is based on the very popular Continental R type from the 50's. The two-door concept came from John Heffernan and Ken Greenley, the duo that was also responsible for the Aston Martin Virage.
Because for some the Continental R was 'not thick enough', 131 Widebodies were built with the "T" engine. This engine has 'only' 420 British ornamental horses, but with more than 880 NM of torque at only 2200 rpm a true powerhouse! The name Mulliner is an ode to H.J. Mulliner, the British coachbuilder who was responsible for the Continental R-type from the fifties. The body is completely hand broadened with tin, in five steps. Also in 2003 it was the most expensive production car in the Netherlands.
The three-coloured full leather interior with dark brown walnut matches the dark green exterior beautifully. A very special colour; when the sun shines on it a dark blue glow comes through the deep green. The wheels have been painted in colour from the factory, which makes the Bentley extra distinctive.
