In November a buddy and I came to McCormicks auction with the goal
to buy a cool 1980s vehicle and take it on an epic drive - Mission
accomplished! We were able to buy a 1988 Toyota 4Runner with only
500 miles on a new crate motor. In addition it has new radiator,
suspension components, carpets, seats, headliner and tires. This
trustworthy stead, who we named YODA, fulfilled a long time dream
of mine to drive up the 101 from Santa Monica to Vancouver Island,
British Columbia. Yoda made the journey effortlessly and once home,
we rewarded him with a few touch ups while preserving the
originality. This vehicle would make an awesome beach cruiser (top
can be removed), adventure wagon or collector car. If you have
always wanted to scratch the 80s itch then this Toyota 4Runner is
the one for you.
