Vehicle Description
Classic Car Addict is excited to proud to present this 2024
Chevrolet Camaro "Black Panther" ZL1 with 5 miles for sale in our
Mesa, Arizona showroom. When Chevrolet sent out a telegram to
automotive journalists that the Society for the Eradication of
Panthers from the Automotive World would hold its first and last
meeting on June 28, 1966, nobody knew what the hell was going on.
As it turns out, the "Panther" was the code name for the
development of the coupe that would become the 1967 Chevrolet
Camaro, and the telegram was a strange bit of intriguing humor to
build excitement for the upcoming pony car. Today's announcement of
the Collector's Edition of the 2024 model marks brings a bit of the
Camaro's earliest lore back by using the Panther name once
more.
The ZL1 Collector's Edition gets a first for the Camaro in using
the Panther Matte Black. Matte colors have never been offered from
the factory on the Camaro before, so the ZL1 will be a unique
vehicle in the history of the car. Like the lower trimmed
Collector's Edition Camaros, it will also get the 1LE front spoiler
and the ZL1 rear wing (on coupe bodies), and a unique Black
Metallic ZL1 stripe, red brake calipers, and black lug nuts on its
wheels. It features the collector's edition unique front fender
script badging that integrates a Panther into the "R" on the Camaro
emblem. Perched out back, we see the Collector's Edition visible
weave carbon fiber spoiler (RPO code T42), while a set of clear
taillight lenses and quad exhaust tips finish it off.
The 2024 Chevy Camaro ZL1 Collector's Edition package also includes
upgrades for the cabin, such as a new steering wheel badge, and
badging / logos for the floor mats. The Panther Black Matte paint
is only available in conjunction with the Jet Black interior
colorway with red accents and carbon fiber instrument panel molding
(RPO code 3DL). Chevrolet infotainment system with 8-inch diagonal
color touchscreen is standard. Connected Navigation system is also
available. Wi-FI hotspot capable, wireless Apple CarPlay and
Android Auto capability and wireless charging is standard. The
Camaro has standard HD rear vision camera, heads up display,
forward collision alert, rear park assists, rear cross traffic
alert, and lane change alert with side blind zone alert are
standard as well. The forward collision alert was deleted when it
was equipped with the performance data recorder.
The Chevrolet Camaro Panther Collector's Edition will feature the
supercharged 6.2L LT4 V-8 engine in the ZL1 trim, which produces
650 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque per 3500 RPMs. It will also
be featured in a Panther Black Matte finish, which will be the
first matte paint that was ever offered on a factory-produced
Camaro. Only 350 individual units of the 2024 Chevrolet Camaro
Panther Collector's Edition will be produced as a ZL1. Each ZL1
Panther will have a serialized steering wheel badge that represents
the number of the 350 Camaros as it was built in the factory.

This is slated to be the magnum opus for the iconic muscle care
before ending the Camaro production for good.
