This 1951 Ford Tudor is a top-shelf street rod. The Ford received a
careful restoration that included a broad range of mechanical
enhancements. Its professional poppy red finish is in excellent
condition and accented by shaved hood/doors/trunk w/poppers, a
Pontiac front bumper and old school 'lake pipes'. Additional
features include hood louvers, rear fender skirts, frenched LED
taillights and frenched radio antennae.
Custom Inside And Out-
The interior is well designed as a very comfortable space. Power
bucket seats were donated by a Lincoln sedan, and the tan leather
upholstery is in outstanding condition. The updated dash
incorporates a full complement of vintage-style creme analog gauges
and features include cold A/C, power tinted windows/trunk,
integrated center console and 'Banjo' wheel mounted on a chromed
tilt column. A custom one-piece windshield has been installed, and
tunes are furnished by a premium Alpine AM/FM/SAT sound system
w/amplifier and Kicker speakers.
Strong Ford Power-
The detailed engine compartment houses a built 302ci Windsor that
sounds strong and is very streetable. It is equipped with an
Edelbrock polished intake with Edelbrock 4V carburetor and shorty
tube headers that exit to a free-flowing exhaust. The hydraulic cam
burbles with a mild lift/duration and mates well with the 3-speed
C-4 automatic and 9" differential with street gearing. Cooling is
handled by an aluminum radiator, all electrics have been upgraded
to a 12V alternator configuration.
Air Ride And More-
The chassis mounts power steering and manual 4-wheel disc brakes.
The coupe sits on an adjustable air-ride suspension and American
Racing Torq Thrush alloy wheels mount Westlake radials - this Ford
is simply 'period correct'.
Bonus, A Coke A Cola Bar-
Last, but certainly not least, this classic '51 is optioned with a
'Coke-Bar 'tailgate trailer. This mobile unit is party central' and
includes a large, upholstered storage compartment (old Coke
machine), ice chest, bar stools, full fenders and rear nerf bar.
The trailer rolls down the road on American Racing wheels - and is
too cool.
This handsome Ford coupe truly needs to be seen and driven to be
appreciated.
