1928 Packard Model 526S
VIN: 161505
Delivered new to the booming mining region of Butte and Anaconda,
Montana, this Packard has lived it's entire 96 years in the
favorable climate of the region. While it is not known who acquired
the car in 1928 or ownership history up through 15 years ago, the
estimation is that it was owned by a "Copper Baron" in the town
known at the time as "The Richest Hill on Earth"...Butte, Montana.
The car was stored for many years in a warehouse in Anaconda when
it was acquired in 2007.
Upon discovery of the car, the current owner noted the very
original nature inside and out, and determined that "Survivor" is
the way this car should remain! The car presents the original paint
and interior and features the following:
- Straight Six Engine that Runs Great
- Three Speed Manual Transmission
- Dual Fender Mount Spares
- 20" Steel Wheels with Wide White Wall tires
- Blinds in the rear windows
- Original Tool Kit
- Cargo Trunk
- Dual Horns
- Dual Headlights w/ single Tail Light
- The odometer shows 48,500, believed to be original but not
confirmed
This car is being represented as a fine Survivor Packard. The paint
and interior is showing it's age. The authenticity of the car makes
it a great addition to any garage or collection. Please note that
throughout the year, this Packard carries some well aged Veterans
through the streets of Butte in parades and for pleasure rides,
much to the occupants delight! Even at 95 Years of age!
THIS VEHICLE TO BE COLLECTED FROM BUTTE, MONTANA.
