- 170ci Straight Six Engine
- 2 Speed Ford-O-Matic Transmission
- Exceptional Condition Inside and Out
The Ford Falcon, introduced by Ford in 1960, was produced across
three generations through 1970. It was a sales success for Ford
initially, outselling rival compacts from Chrysler and General
Motors introduced at the same time. This car appealed to all walks
of life, from the youth who wanted to feel its power, to the
families who would use it as everyday transportation. Accordingly,
the car's design adopted a modern styling theme that features
excellent proportions and minimal trim.
This Ford Falcon presented at auction is an exceptional car! Not
only does it show well as to body, paint, interior, drivetrain,
etc., the car is very well documented and presents largely as it
would have just rolled off the Ford Showroom Floor! The Warranty
Tag shows the following:
BODY 62C - 2 Door Falcon Futura
COLOR T - Sandshell Beige
TRIM 84 - Beige Interior
DATE 14C - March 14
DSO 71 - Los Angeles, CA
AXLE 5-3.50

This car has complete documents since new and show the car was
ordered with the higher horsepower 170 CID Special, supplying 101HP
to the rear end. Sold new in West Covina, CA and bought by a women
trading in a 1954 Ford (she received $150 trade-in value!), this
car benefited from ownership in the favorable dry climate of the
southwest. Longtime ownership from the original owner provided for
a well preserved car.
Circa 2009/2010, the car underwent a body on restoration, producing
the beautiful example presented at auction. The brakes were
re-done, new fuel pump and fuel lines installed, engine tune-up,
new front shocks, new radiator and thermostat and other work was
performed to ensure the mechanical safe driving of this Falcon.
Also included in the restoration was body work and new paint as
well as complete new interior including carpet, seat upholstery,
dash, package tray, weather stripping, etc. The bumpers were
re-chromed and all brightwork is either NOS or a fine original
example. The restoration was sure to follow how the car came from
the factory both in exterior color and interior presentation.
Following this high end restoration, the car found it's way to a
very discerning collection of cars in North Central Montana over 10
years ago. This Falcon has been in a climate controlled environment
and well cared for in that time. The current owner acquired the car
7 sears ago, adding it to his collection of high end cars.
