One of the most iconic sports car designs of all time is the great
Shelby Cobra. This stunning, low-mileage 1967 Shelby Cobra is a
high-quality fiberglass replica with a body crafted by Midstates
Classic Cars. In fantastic condition, it has driven only 7,784
miles since it was completed. In 2021 the current owner
commissioned Sidewayz Custom Hot Rodz to completely refinish the
body in an attractive metallic flake maroon color. Additionally,
the all the chrome and trim on the car was blacked-out, including
the bumpers, windshield frame and side-pipes, giving even more
attitude to the muscular design of this roadster. Racing stripes
add to the appearance; however, they are removable if desired. A
set of LED headlights add to the aggressive look of the front of
this Cobra. The flared wheel openings showcase blacked out 17-inch
American Racing rims wrapped with Nitto tires staggered 245/45ZR17
front and 315/35ZR17 rear. An all-new custom interior done by
Sidewayz Custom Hot Rodz done in 2021, featuring diamond stitched
black bucket seats and console with red stitching and RJS racing
harnesses. The seats slide forward and back generously to
accommodate different size drivers. Other features include VDO
gauges, working Autometer clock, electronic push button ignition,
Moto-Lita steering wheel with Cobra center cap and a Kenwood
AM/FM/CD/XM radio that plays through four speakers and a small
subwoofer. Custom foot pedals look great and have excellent
placement with a clutch dialed in to be not too heavy, with just
the right amount of feel.
Powering this Cobra is a 351 Ford Windsor V8 built by Redline
Performance rated at 440 horsepower, mated to a Tremec 5-Speed
Manual transmission with Hurst shifter that transfers power back to
a 9-inch Ford rear end. The detailed engine features Holley Sniper
electronic fuel injection, Edelbrock intake manifold, Cobra finned
valve covers and air cleaner, long tube headers, aluminum radiator
and electric fan Alternator and radiator blacked-out reservoir and
alternator. Stopping is assisted by Wilwood drilled and slotted
disc brakes on all four corners.
