Vehicle Description

Offered here is a stunning two owner 1959 Chevrolet Apache 3100, Deluxe, Big window cab, ton Fleetside frame-off, rotisserie restored Pickup. This period-correct traditional driver features subtle artistic flair; a nod toward the mid-century classic Surfer lifestyle, resulting in a striking head-turner whenever she's on the road.

She is finished with the original factory-1959 serene Neptune Green (color-matched during disassembly) and Pure White, two-tone paint with clear coat scheme, which is complimented by its one of a kind interior. A custom-hand-sewn tan vinyl, dacron and burlap bolstered upholstery seat rebuilt to factory specs, custom tufted door panels and sun visors with a hand-stitched, complimenting thread color steering wheel boot provide an iconic look and outstanding comfort.

The surfboard-stripe themed headliner was hand-built by the owner in a custom original wood joinery-design of " walnut, mahogany and maple wood, creating a stunning deviation from the traditional perforated fabric factory headliner panel. It's wrapped in flexible chrome edge beading to complete the look. New tan blend pile-carpeting and factory correct floor mats conceal X-mat sound deadening membrane and offer a plush, quiet ride. She has the original factory dashboard, instrument cluster with a new chrome surround and viewing glass, a new 1959-correct steering wheel with working dual channel horns, new directional controls, a mix of original and new gleaming chrome knobs and heater controls. The glove box is set off with a classic striping pattern on its door with original working latch mechanism. While it maintains the original interior pressboard liner, it has been upgraded with the correct lighting kit and a new fabric sleeve in a serendipitous hula-girl motif, applied with astonishing alignment and precision. The truck was completely rewired with a new, factory-correct wiring harness. Every control, switch and light in the truck works, complete with a Retro-Sound Bluetooth capable stereo installed into the original, unmodified dash and Pioneer kick panel 100w speakers at the floor. The truck was originally sent from the St. Louis factory without a radio but the factory stereo cover with traditional Chevron logo was preserved, painted green and repurposed as a nostalgic keychain, to be included in the sale.

This 1959 Apache is powered by its original Straight 6, 235 ci Thriftmaster motor. This is a numbers matching vehicle. The cab, doors, hood, frame, front fenders and motor are all original components. The starter, generator and carburetor are all original to the truck and have been completely rebuilt to factory-new condition. The painted engine bay features the original oil-bath air filter and a new oil pressure line. A new, 1959-correct breather cap tops off the freshly painted (Blue Flame) engine which prominently features the correct black and yellow applied Thriftmaster label. A new period-correct radiator and hoses are coupled with the original water pump, fan and pulley, all powder coated black. The truck sports its original fuel tank behind the seat with hold-down straps . A new sending unit, stainless fuel lines, new fuel pump and chrome locking fuel cap have been installed. New spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and points have been added. The new galvalume exhaust system has the original manifold, new pipes and standard compatible new muffler. Transmission is the original 3 speed on the column with the original rear end and drive shaft complete with new clutch assembly. New drums (all 4), brakes (all 4), powder coated color-matching steel wheels and period correct Chevrolet hubcaps with chrome beauty rings complement the 3-?" wide whitewall radial Coker Tires.
