Vehicle Description
1957 Custom Chevy El Camino. 350 cu with tri power, chrome engine
package, A/C, Power windows, Power Drivers Seat, All new front and
rear suspension, new exhaust, red line tires on Rally wheels, all
new chrome Custom headliner and interior, Digital dash, Mustang
seats. The bed was special order and laser cut from a Rod Shop in
Georgia. It was custom made for this bed. Originally the car was a
4 door station wagon out of Texas, the previous owner had it
chopped and the rear of the roof moved forward so that the lines
flowed with the car and mimic what could have bee done at the
factory. The curved rear glass I had cut down from station wagon
glass of the year, as the previous owner only had plexiglass in for
windows. All interior and wherever possible, the exterior. lights
have been replaced with LED lighting. Front and rear suspension
parts have been replaced, excluding the rear springs. The rear end,
to the best of my ability is a stock 57 rear end. Some of the
interior, such as the door panels and the rear Chevy Emblem panel
done in the imitation leather, I did., as well as the console. The
headliner was done at an interior shop that I use, as well as the
sun visors. The battery is mid mounted, directly behind the
passenger seat. The whole car has been completely rewired, every
inch of it. The car has a manual battery shut off under the hood.
The A/C is hooked up directly to the original heater switches and
works great. It also has Heat, again hooked up to the same original
switches. All switches and gauges work as they should, except the
clock (i have a replacement, but it is not installed) as do the
horns. There is a small leak from the speedometer cable where it
enters the transmission. I have purchased a 700R4 transmission to
replace the complete tranny (bought at a swap meet) but I have
never got around to replacing it. The replacement tranny does go
with the sale. The bad of the car is that the original hood has to
be re-aligned as, in my eyes, it does not have a proper fit. It
seems to bow up on both sides and does not follow the fenders. I
hope the pictures can pick this up. The second item is that the
paint has a crack above either the drivers side or passenger side,
I forget which, but when I take the pictures later this weekend I
will put a piece of tape next to it so that it will stand out in
the picture I have had the car for 12 plus years, but completed it
only 12 to 14 months ago. To date I have approx 600 to 700 miles on
it. Please Note The Following **Vehicle Location is at our clients
