Hard to find ramp truck car hauler, especially 4 wheel drive. This
has been in fleet and it was very well maintained. There are no
known issues, we replace our equipment every few years. It hauls a
car and pulls a trailer with a 2nd car no problem! It only has
127,250 miles.
EXTERIOR: Up front is the factory crew cab in mint condition. Only
minor stone chips in the hood. It is decked out with optional
chrome appearance group: grill, front bumper, extra chrome on the
doors. It also has running boards, tow hooks, heated towing mirrors
and roof lights. Keyless entry. Upgraded 19.5" Alcoa polished
aluminum wheels. 20 foot Hodges car hauler ramp bed. There is
currently a 2 year waiting list at Hodges, actually they are not
even taking anymore orders. The bed has some typical wear and tear.
We kept up with it the best we could. It has been completely
sprayed with durable bedliner, white sides and black floor. It has
4 large locking compartments, pull out ramps, a 9,000 lb Pierce
winch, recessed floor lighting and tie down loops. It also has easy
to use heavy duty crank down straps.
INTERIOR: Inside has been well kept. Optional bench seat with fold
down armrest/compartment and 5 inch touchscreen display. Power
windows, mirrors, locks. Cruise control, a/c, tilt, fold flat rear
seat. It is nice having a 4 door, obviously for extra people but
also for extra stuff: displays car parts etc.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Optional $7,400 6.7 liter Cummins turbo diesel.
It has plenty of power to haul a car and a trailer with a 2nd car.
It has always run strong with no issues for us.
UNDERSIDE: It has 4 wheel drive which is a big plus and not easy to
find on a car hauler. It has saved us a few times in snowy
driveways. It also has the Max tow package: 4.88 posi, transfer
case skid plate, h.d. suspension, auxiliary trans cooler, antilock
4 wheel disc brakes. It has the optional h.d. Aisin 6-speed
automatic and h.d. Dana 60 rear.
SERVICE: Just recently we gave it new front brakes: rotors, pads,
calipers. It has an EGR delete for improved performance. We
replaced the cracked transfer case and had the transmission
rebuilt.
These trucks are hard to find. This one has been well maintained
and has lots of life left. It makes hauling cars easy!
