This modified 1990 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo is powered by a 300hp turbocharged V6 engine driving the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission. This 2-seater example wears its factory black paint complemented by a black leather interior with cloth trim panels and shows 77,281 original miles. This top-of-the-line 300ZX features removable glass roof panels, adjustable two-way suspension, and four-wheel steering “Super HICAS” (High Capacity Actively Controlled Steering). The car has been modified with a larger rear spoiler and body kit (side and rear facia panels), and staggered-width tires. Twin Turbo badges have been removed. Additional modifications include a stage 2 JWT ECU upgrade chip with a new JWT Performance clutch, pop charger, Gregg Dupree specialty z pipes, downpipes, and exhaust. Upgrades to the stereo system include a new Sony head unit, rear-mounted CD changer, and subwoofers. A Viper remote alarm system has been installed. Third-party photos of the car were taken, and an inspection was completed. The results show a car that has been well maintained and survived in good condition for more than 30 years. The inspection specifically notes a scratch on the right fender, peeling paint on the grille, and a small dent in the passenger door. Various scratches are consistent with the age and mileage of the vehicle. Similarly, the interior shows some wear on the seats and common touch points. The overhead light is not functional, though reading lights do work as designed. The test drive demonstrated that all mechanical features of the vehicle operate as they should. About the model
After the success of the Z31 300ZX, the Z32-chassis Nissan 300ZX appeared for the 1990 model year. As the newest Z-car, Nissan refocused the car with significantly better performance alongside luxury. The standard 3.0-liter V6, with 222 horsepower, was more powerful than the previous turbocharged powerplant — while the optional twin-turbocharged engine on the Z32 300ZX Turbo produced 300hp. The base model Z32 300ZX was mostly available in the T-top body style (removable roof panels) or as a semi-convertible (Targa style), commonly referred to as a convertible. However, a limited number were produced in coupe form as well (a/k/a 'slicktop'). Power was sent to the rear wheels via a 4-speed automatic transmission or a 5-speed manual. As with all other versions of the Z, the 300ZX was sold within the Japanese domestic market under the name Fairlady Z. The Z32 300ZX variants did not have a direct successor. Except for the Fairlady Z in Japan where it continued sales until the year 2000, the Z car series went on hiatus from 1997 to 2002, until the 350Z was launched as part of the Z33 generation.
