Vehicle Description
This custom 1971 Chevrolet K5 Blazer is powered by a Gen V
5.3-liter V8 engine mated to a 4L60 automatic transmission with a
rebuilt transfer case, and rebuilt axles and hubs to complete the
drivetrain. The frame was sandblasted, reinforced and powder-coated
black for the new drivetrain and includes a DirtyDingo crossmember.
This Blazer is riding on Bilstein Bypass shocks with new rubber
bushings, and body mounts seals were installed along with
cross-over steering. It includes all-new wiring and LED lighting,
and the Ultima battery was relocated to the rear cargo area.
Stopping power comes from Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes with
proportioning valves, including cross-drilled rotors. It is
finished in a custom one-off Pearl Ochre that includes seven coats
of clear, and the body tub was modified by moving the rear floor
step up and back 5 inches, allowing for additional legroom for the
driver and front passenger. The custom Italian leather interior
includes heated electric seats, a wrapped roll bar, steering wheel,
door cards, visors and dash pad, as well as a custom
leather-wrapped console that hides the ECM controller. The custom
sound system includes a RetroSound head unit, a JL Audio Bluetooth
puck in the glovebox and Morel speakers with a JL subwoofer located
under the rear bench seat. The interior features a Vintage Air
system, Dakota Digital gauges, two USB ports and four cup holders.
There is custom carpet with leather piping and custom rear side
panels using earth magnets to allow access to the removable top
hardware mounting locations. The dual-wall fiberglass top was
completely restored and includes all-new glass and rubber seals, as
well as new hardware. It includes a rear trailer hitch-mounted tire
carrier with matching full-size rim and tire. **TITLED AS 1971
