Edition Trans AM built in 1979. Just look as those underside photos
to see how amazing the restoration of this Trans AM is. With just a
little over 33 thousand miles on the odometer, this is one of the
nicest Anniversary cars we have had in our inventory. This is a 2
owner Anniversary Trans Am with all #'s matching. This amazing
Canadian VVS (Vintage Vehicle Services) Certified Pontiac with its
factory Invoice Sheet, Books, Warranty Info and Dealer Jacket was
born on the 1st week of May 1979 (05A) at the Norwood, Ohio plant,
VIN#: 2X87K9N172606. This Trans Am was delivered by Forbes Motors
Limited out of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada to her first owner on June
9, 1979 who resided in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada for a whopping
$10,710.40 + Tax.The 2nd owner that performed the restoration,
owned a powder coating company, so everything that could be powder
coated, was! The attention to detail during this restoration is
amazing. The Leather interior is in beautiful condition and the
dash has no cracks. The numbers matching 6.6 Litre Engine is under
the hood and it runs perfect. This Pontiac is a pleasure to drive.
It tracks straight and true. It is full of that Pontiac
Excitement.
Did you know NFL great, Terry Bradshaw, the MVP of the 1979 NFL
Super Bowl was awarded a 1979 Trans AM 10th Anniversary Trans AM
just like this one. That is another reason that these cars are so
collectible.
These were the first Trans AM's to be priced with a MSRP over
$10,000. These cars only came one way and that was loaded. So every
available option is there. Tilt, Cruise, Power Windows, Locks and a
unique one year only Interior. These are the only 2nd Gen
Firebird's to get a Leather Interior. It was same Silver leather
used in the 1978 Corvette Pace Car. These unique cars included the
WS6 handling package and added 4 wheel disc brakes. It was the
first year this was an option on a Trans AM. All of this adds up to
one of the most prized Trans AM's you can own. There is no shortage
of reasons to consider having one of thee cars in your collection!
