This Can-Am White 1969 Chevrolet Corvette L88 is powered by a
matching-numbers 427/430hp V8 engine that features open-chambered
aluminum cylinder heads, a performance camshaft, a 12.0:1
compression ratio and a 4-barrel Holley carburetor from the
factory. Additional equipment includes a Muncie M22 4-speed manual
transmission, posi-traction rear end, heavy-duty suspension, power
disc brakes and transistor ignition. Instrumentation includes a
160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline. The
upper console houses a clock as well as gauges monitoring fuel
level, coolant temperature, oil pressure and amperage. The F41
heavy-duty suspension package was mandatory for the L88 and added a
7-leaf rear spring, higher-rate front coil springs, special shock
absorbers and a rear sway bar. The car features removable
color-matched T-Tops, hideaway windshield wipers, Stingray badging
and integrated backup lamps, as well as a functional L88-specific
hood scoop with an integrated air plenum chamber and higher
clearance than that used on other 427-powered variants. Included
are copies of the Window Sticker.
