Vehicle Description
This custom 1965 Chevrolet Impala SS convertible was professionally
built by Costello Customs in Glendale, AZ. This true Super Sport
was the recipient of a no-expense-spared frame-off restoration with
a powder-coated frame. It is powered by a GM Performance
supercharged 6.2-liter LT4 engine producing 650hp mated to a TREMEC
T56 Magnum 6-speed manual transmission. The new Ford 9-inch rear
end with 4.10 gears is held in place with a 4-link with Panhard bar
setup. The all-new front and rear suspension features QA1 coilovers
all around and stopping is handled by 14-inch Wilwood power 4-wheel
disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors and red powder-coated
calipers. This Impala also has power steering and rides on new
Schott billet aluminum 19- and 20-inch wheels wrapped in Michelin
Pilot Sport tires. It is equipped with all-new glass and an
electric power convertible top. The sanitary engine compartment has
powder-coated inner fenders, a smoothed firewall and a Performance
Rod & Custom cooling system. The bucket-seat interior features
Vintage Air system, Dakota Digital gauges and a center console.
Approximately 100 test miles since completion in December 2023.
