This custom 1959 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is powered by a
brand-new Chevrolet crate LS3 6.2-liter 436hp V8 engine backed by a
4L65E 4-speed automatic transmission. This build was completed by
Joe Peck Customs in November 2023 and took 4 years. This California
example was one of the 9,670 Corvettes produced in 1959 and retains
its original body and body panels. Sitting on a Roadster Shop
chassis with independent front and rear suspension, it includes
aluminum control arms and spindle assembly, as well as power rack &
pinion steering. Front and rear sway bars are added to this Satin
Black powder-coated chassis that has 14-inch Baer disc brakes all
around. Features also include a Rick's custom gas tank and a
Mattson custom radiator. Finished in a Sunset Gold Metallic with
Oyster White coves, it has a custom interior by Albert Lara, an
award-winning custom interior designer. Oyster White leather was
sourced to wrap the seats and door panels, while the dash was
wrapped in a light gold leather. Interior features include power
windows, Vintage Air, custom seatbelts, a Sparco steering wheel,
Ididit steering column and Dakota Digital gauges that fit perfectly
inside the original gauge cove. The original stainless console
pieces were restored, and Mercedes carpet was used to create a soft
and quiet experience in the cockpit. This car is sitting on Schott
custom-built 19-inch wheels painted in a subtle Titanium to match
the body color, which are wrapped in Nitto 555 tires that wear a
thin gold stripe to further tie the custom look together. A bound
photo book that shows the progression of the build will accompany
the sale. ** PREVIEW
